Integrating fire alarm control using direct wiring. When activated by a fire alarm the magnet shuts off and releases the door. The door access control reader and the electric lock can be wired to the fire alarm in a number of different ways. Making the magnetic field electrical current passes through the coil of the door holder.

Power shall be controlled by the fire control system. When the fire alarm system detects smoke the current to the door holder turns off allowing the door to close. For use with doors that already have a closer these holders keep doors open with an electromagnet. It will interrupt the power if alarmed causing the doors to be released thus allowing the door closers to close the doors. All are reversible for right or left door swing directions. We can use a relay to drop power to the electric lock or use an ip device that drops power using the network connection or add a power control box that drops power when the fire.

Wire these holders directly into your fire alarm system. Depending on your fire alarm installation you may need to install a magnetic door holder at the location of each fire door. A magnetic door holder is a relatively simple device that when powered typically by 24vdc or 120vac will create a magnetic pull.
